We was at a mates 40th a couple of years ago and was laughing about that eu referendum thread, he did half believe all the shit he’s post but a lot was intentionally over the top. We’d dig each other out on here then laugh about it next time we saw each other. Some people just need to calm down and realise there’s more important things in life. Especially if you don’t even live in the country.

Met Gavros twice, was a decent fella, people need to separate real life to personas on social media sites/forums. For the majority of posters this place is a playground and not to be taken seriously. A few on here just haven't grasped that yet and seem to think WHO is just a political forum.

The idea that Gavros was bullied on here is absolutely risible. He gave as good as he got and was quite capable of initiating hostilities himself. I found him to be an absolute fucking cunt on the political threads.
I never met him and never wanted to, though I enjoyed our jousts. However, I'm fairly certain that his massive WHO cuntery was, in fact, superb wind-upmanship and that he was laughing his tits off at me and others. So hats off there... Sadly for him, I suspect that his penchant for a wind-up caused him great personal damage when he went fishing once too often and came up against the evil Hackney lunatic.
I also know that he probably did more to help out his fellow Hammers than any other poster on here. For me that speaks volumes more than telling the odd fib about Peruvian lemons.
RIP Hammer. May you be getting on St Peter's tits right now.

I disagreed with Gavros, as I do with many on here.
Can't say I hold it against any of you. When I was working near Gavros, we had several chats trying to arrange to meet up for lunch or a few beers but never managed it. I don't take people's comments on here too seriously anymore.
If I was in Texas, I'd probably offer to meet Texas Iron for a beer and Gopnik if I was anywhere near him in Poland.
We're all West Ham. Gavros came across as a decent sort and never took himself too seriously.
